This days chase was a really fun and exciting chase for me as I was able to get together with a local professional storm chaser. I seen the storms popping up out west of Lincoln Ne out by York Ne from what I could tell on my drive home after work. I got home after work and grabbed my camera and my laptop to go and start chasing storms for the afternoon. On my way to Lincoln I called Scott Bennett of www.endlessweather.com to see if he was going to be out chasing and he happened to be out by the Lincoln Airport so I headed to the airport to meet up with him and long story short we ended up getting together in Seward Ne to head out towards York Ne where there was some Supercell storms. I jumped into Scotts truck and we raced out to York Ne. By the time we got out there we had missed a tornado by about 10 minutes. That storm looked like it was breaking up so we decided to head south and happened to see some other chasers that Scott knew so we stopped and hung out with them for a little while. We also seen the TIV2 and the Discovery Chanel support team just down the road from us. We continued to drive south as there were more storms coming up from Kansas so we ended up down by Wymore Ne to see if we could get some photos of the storm before the sun went down. We managed to get a few photos and then we headed back to Lincoln and Seward to pick up my car. It was a fun experience and I learned a lot that day. Here are some photos from that days chase.
